We care about you and your family’s eyes, which is why you should come by for an annual eye exam.
Both children and adults can benefit from eye exams—that’s why doctors recommend annual eye exams from the time a baby turns 6 months old! As a child’s eyes develop, their vision can change, sometimes resulting in vision problems that can impact their academic success.
Moreover, if you are over 40 or have diabetes, you are at a higher risk of developing eye disease. Many sight-threatening diseases can sneak up on you before symptoms are noticed. These diseases can be detected early on during an eye exam, enabling early treatment and reducing your chances of vision loss.
During your eye exam, a licensed optometrist will conduct a thorough history and perform a series of tests to check for any signs of disease or vision changes.
