Dr. Raman Thind-Gill
Dr. Raman Thind-Gill has been practicing Optometry since 2011. She was born and raised in Edmonton, where she was enrolled in her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta. She then travelled overseas to study Optometry and graduated from Aston University (UK) with a BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Upon her return to Canada, Dr. Thind-Gill graduated from the University of Waterloo’s International Optometric Bridging Program.
Dr. Thind-Gill’s keen interest in Optometry began during her time as an assistant at a local optometry clinic while in university. This experience motivated her to become an optometrist dedicated to enhancing patients’ lives through improved vision and eye health. She is particularly interested in dry eye therapy, a crucial area given Alberta’s dry climate. Since founding EyeCU Optometry in 2014, Dr. Thind-Gill has built strong patient relationships and expanded the practice to offer a broad range of services. She is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, ensuring she can connect with a diverse patient base.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Thind-Gill cherishes time with her family, including her husband, two children, and their dog.
Dr. Meraj Iqbalzada
**Dr. Meraj Iqbalzada, O.D.**
Dr. Meraj Iqbalzada, O.D., is a dedicated optometrist based in Calgary, Alberta, with a commitment to helping patients achieve optimal vision. He completed his BSc degree at the University of Calgary, followed by an Optician diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Dr. Iqbalzada then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2019.
Dr. Iqbalzada’s dedication to optometry extends beyond his practice. During his time as a student optometrist, he volunteered on mission trips to Honduras and Peru, providing essential eye care services to underserved communities. His ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds is one of his greatest strengths. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Dari, and conversational Punjabi, Dr. Iqbalzada offers compassionate and respectful care to a broad range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
