Dr. Somi Oh Orthokeratologist, O.D.
Dr. Oh received her Doctor of Optometry degree with high honors from the School of Optometry at U.C. Berkeley and has been successfully practicing optometry in the Bay Area since 1983. She has played a pivotal role in opening five practices and has a long-standing history of excellence in all aspects of optometric care, including the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and ocular health.
Specializing in corrective vision,scleral lenses, keratoconus, hard-to-fit lenses, myopia control and Orthokeratology, Dr. Oh is a pioneer in non-surgical myopia control techniques aimed at reducing or eliminating myopia and astigmatism. She is a fellow and board of director in Myopia Control and Orthokeratology in AAOMC, recognized for her expertise and contributions to the field. Her work in corrective therapy, particularly with children, has led her to teach internationally and publish numerous papers on the subject. In 1993, she introduced Orthokeratology, known as DreamLens, to Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Oh prides herself on providing exceptional family eye care, focusing on achieving clear vision and ensuring long-term eye health for her patients.
Dr. Hung Sun Chung, O.D.
Dr. Hungsun Chung received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1994. Prior to her optometry career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado and worked as a chemistry researcher at the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Chung completed an externship at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, where she focused on ocular disease, and additional externships in Community Health Centers in the Greater Boston Area, emphasizing general family eye care. She enjoys working with a diverse range of patient populations and has extensive experience in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Chung's special interests include myopia control, dry eye treatment and the specialized fitting of all types of contact lenses. She is passionate about staying abreast of the latest research and developments in eye care to better serve her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys reading, hiking, and spending quality time with her family.
