Diabetes impacts your body’s cardiovascular system and can damage the small blood vessels in your retina. This results in diabetic retinopathy, which, along with glaucoma and cataracts, can threaten your vision.
If you or a loved one has diabetes, you can take steps to prevent vision loss. By maintaining optimal blood sugar levels and scheduling regular eye exams, you can help preserve your sight.
Moreover, because glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy show no symptoms early on, having regular comprehensive eye exams is crucial for early diagnosis and effective treatment.
Want to find out how to keep your eyes healthy and your vision clear? The first step is to promptly schedule your eye exam at Rostraver Eye Care.
