Dr. Alicia Harrison strives to provide each of her patients with the kind of care she expects for herself and her family. She is committed to providing the highest quality eye care and customizes her treatments to each patient's needs and lifestyle. Her patients often express the appreciation they have for this personal approach and the value they feel it provides in the rush of everyday living. Dr. Alicia M. Harrison earned her doctorate in optometry at the world-renowned University of California at Berkeley. She also earned a bachelor's degree in Physiology and Neurology from the University of California at San Diego. Her clinical training included several specialized internships: surgical/ocular disease at The Barnet-Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where she assisted in the care of cataract and refractive surgery patients; contact lenses, pediatrics and low vision at The Meredith Morgan Eye Clinic in Berkeley, California: primary care/ocular disease at the Rosebud Indian Health Services Hospital, South Dakota and La Clinica de La Raza in Oakland, California. In addition, she was selected for special training at the Vistakon/Acuvue Headquarters in Florida and the Alcon Pharmaceutical Headquarters in Texas and the 2000 Varilux/Essilor Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia for special training in progressive multifocal lenses. At UC Berkeley, Dr. Harrison had many leadership roles. Her peers selected her to be the American Optometric Student Association Trustee, for which she organized a student conference for the three West Coast Optometry Schools and represented the UCB student body at the national conventions for the American Optometry Association. She was also the Alumni Association Student Liaison for 2 years. Both the California Optometric and Alameda-Contra Costa County Optometric Associations honored her in 2000 with awards for her leadership qualities and community involvement. Dr. Harrison was Valedictorian at Dana Hills High School, where she was honored as a member of the DHHS Dolphin Wall of Fame for her excellence in athletics. As a teenager, she was also very involved in the community with the National Charity League and club athletics. She is now very involved with her own children and their athletics. Dr. Bill Harrison loving husband, father, grandfather, community optometrist and sports vision pioneer, lost his 4-year battle with squamous cell skin cancer on May 4, 2019.

Dr. Bill Harrison began his work in professional baseball began in 1971 with the Kansas City Royals.  Baseball Hall of Fame star George Brett was among the first players he trained. 

He worked with world-class athletes in various sports as they prepared for competition with Dr. Harrison's methods. Many considered him to be one of this country's premier mind for sports enhancement.   

He was featured on shows such as Mike Douglas Show,  ESPN,  MLB Network.  He has written or been featured in  GQ, Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Mag, Collegiate Baseball, USA Today and much more. 

He is also the  co-author of 3 books, “How2Focus: Like the Pros,” “How2Focus: The Hitter’s Zone,” and “How2Focus: The Pitcher’s Zone.” Over those 48 years Dr. Bill consulted with 15 MLB organizations, PGA golfers, various Olympic athletes, and numerous NCAA programs.
