Optometry is Dr. Kacherova’s true passion. Ever since getting her first pair of glasses at a young age, she knew she wanted to be an optometrist and dreamt of helping others see the world clearer.
After completing her undergraduate degree at Northeastern Illinois University, Dr Kacherova went on to complete her doctor of optometry degree at the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL graduating with high honors.
Dr. Kacherova focuses on each individual patient and makes sure to address their concerns. She embraces the medical aspect optometry and is passionate about preventative eye care. Her interests include management of myopia progression, dry eyes, and ocular disease.
Dr. Kacherova lives in the area and enjoys spending her free time with her husband (whom you will often see at Expert Family Eyecare) and their two young sons.
Dr. Kanellis earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Chicago College of Optometry and went on to complete a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the Southern College of Optometry. During his residency, he gained extensive experience diagnosing and managing a variety of corneal conditions, fitting specialty contact lenses such as scleral lenses, and utilizing advanced treatment options including amniotic membranes.
Dr. Kanellis is passionate about helping patients see clearly and comfortably, especially those with complex corneal needs. He combines clinical expertise with a personalized approach to ensure every patient receives the highest quality care.
Outside the office, Dr. Kanellis enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and playing the trumpet. He’s also a proud dog dad and loves spending time outdoors with his two pups.
