How to protect your eyes this season:

• Wear sunglasses to reduce exposure to airborne allergens

• Use daily disposable contact lenses to avoid buildup

• Book an eye exam to discuss allergy-friendly treatments

Don’t let allergies ruin your spring. Find relief and keep your eyes happy this season.

Background and Education- I was born in Knox County to the late David and Nancy Cox and was Blessed to grow up with my brother Christopher Cox in a very rural area outside Monroe City. I graduated from South Knox High School and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Optometry and a Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. I received my Board Certification by the NBEO and have been a licensed Doctor of Optometry since 1996. How we came to Gibson County- While I was completing Optometry School, my beautiful wife Jennifer, herself a graduate of the Optometric Technology Program at Indiana University, was employed in the Bloomington Optometric Practice of Dr. John Poling, a friend and colleague of Dr. Doyne Haley of Princeton, Indiana. Dr. Poling introduced us to Dr. Haley, and as they say, “the rest is history”. I became an associate of Dr.Haley upon receiving my license. We would purchase the practice from Dr. Haley in 1997. My Family- By God’s Providence, I met  Jennifer Benock in our South Knox  library one day long ago.  I got to marry my high school sweetheart while we were both at Indiana University in 1994.  We have been Blessed with six children, spanning twelve years Jennifer and I are involved with Foster and Adoption ministries. It is my honor to call Southwest Indiana my home.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" The words of Jesus Christ, as recorded in Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
