Dr. Zac Holland graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2015 after finishing his undergraduate degree at Augustana College in Biology.
He has been seeing patients at the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota since 2015 and took full ownership of CCLIM in 2020. He enjoys working with patients that have previously been told they are not a good candidate for contact lenses or have had poor experiences with contacts in the past and are looking for a different experience.
CCLIM was awarded 'Best Practice' by Coopervision in 2023 and Dr Holland was honored with being named Minnesota’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2024.
Dr. Holland’s training includes managing advanced level ocular diseases, specialty contact lenses, and some vision therapy along with low vision training at the VA. He has been honored with the distinction of Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (FSLS), which is bestowed on advanced level practitioners within the specialty lens industry. There are less than two hundred people in the world with this honor.
Dr. Holland also sits on the board of the Minnesota Contact Lens Society and has published articles as well as given lectures to optometrists all over the nation in the field of contact lenses. Dr. Holland is a member of many associations including the Minnesota Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
It has always been a pleasure to participate in the training of the next generation’s leaders. At CCLIM, we have been committed, since our inception, to working with students from all over the United States to learn about custom contact lenses. We will continue to be a leading institution in the field of contact lenses when it comes to educating our young and future specialists.
This is of special interest to Dr. Holland as he was trained at CCLIM and takes this responsibility to give back to the profession very seriously. CCLIM has always been on the cutting edge of technology and regularly participates in FDA and clinical studies in the attempt to develop new, safe, and effective products for colleagues and patients.....
