As a Madison native, Dr. Andrew Steinhauer is excited about the opportunity to provide eye care to his home community. He grew up in Madison and obtained his B.S in Biology in 2008 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then moved to Chicago to pursue optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry and graduated in May 2013. During his fourth year he earned the Clinical Excellence Award for earning clinical honors at all of his externship sites. He is also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. Dr. Steinhauer has special interests in ocular disease and contact lenses. Outside of seeing patients, he enjoys golfing, hiking, biking and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Andrew Steinhauer is a member of the AOA, WOA and the Madison Area Optometric Association.
Dr. Thomas Steinhauer has been providing the Madison area with eye care for over 40 years. He grew up in Madison and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he represented the Badgers as a member of the golf team. After graduating from Illinois College of Optometry in 1980, Dr. Steinhauer joined one of the oldest practices in the state of Wisconsin. He was the sole practitioner from 1992 until 2013 when his son Andrew joined the practice. Dr. Thomas Steinhauer's special interests include ocular disease and fitting specialty contact lenses. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, as well as a member of the AOA, WOA and the Madison Area Optometric Association. Outside of patient care, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
Dr. Brian Steinhauer is the newest member of Steinhauer Family Eye Clinic. He grew up in Madison and earned a B.S. in Biology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2011. He then went on to pursue optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. During his time there he was a four-year member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society, and in May 2016 he graduated with cum laude honors. Dr. Steinhauer enjoyed his time in Chicago, but is very excited to be back in his hometown providing eye care for the Madison community. Dr. Steinhauer enjoys all aspects of optometry, but has particular interests in ocular disease and pediatric care. Outside of optometry he enjoys golfing, playing music, fishing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Brian Steinhauer is a member of the AOA, WOA and the Madison Area Optometric Association.
